21st century plagues and war pushed the shielded community through a time distortion to the year 1759. They found themselves in the middle of that era’s 7-years war, the first worldwide conflict. Western empires are fighting for dominance attacking each other’s colonies and trading posts. The Novan’s arrival in backwoods Nova Scotia Province was certain to eventually bring them into conflict with the most powerful military in existence at that time. Lacking 21st century infrastructure and supply lines, their challenge is to build that basic infrastructure while dodging direct confrontation with imperial empires. The Sapiens play a key role, but are they reliable?
